Back 2 School & Updates

Unfortunately I haven't had many posts lately, it seems life has been really busy the past month or so with moving & trying to get settled in, and of course with starting school again. I have some pictures I need get a hold of from my mom and post of our some-what recent trip to Panguitch Lake with my mom's side of the family. We had a blast (other than the fact that we caught none, zero, zip fish...my theory that all fish in any lake in the state of Utah are gay because I have yet to catch even one this year (including ice fishing over the winter) still holds true after all of these times I've challenged it.) The trip really brought back some great old memories of being a kid and making annual trips on the 4th of July down there. It's always nice to get away from everyday life and spend some time with family. I feel bad for those who dread family outings and vacations. It's too bad they can't have such a great family as Brad and I have (both sides of course!)

And of course...with summer coming to an end, fall is quickly sneaking up on us. Which means school starts again and we're back to the old grind. Brad and I must both be completely out of our minds as we've both decided to kick it in gear and go to school full-time this semester, while still working full time at our jobs. Aaaaah! I think we're both starting to wonder what-in-the-heck we were thinking. Life is crazy and is bound to get crazier as we get deeper into the semester. We do not have any classes together as we have in the past semesters, and so the time we get to spend together during the week is limited & I find myself constantly looking forward to the weekend (even more-so than I used to. Hard to imagine, right?) so that we can try to break-away from some homework for a bit and enjoy each other's company again. Also, our wedding anniversary is next month (can you believe that?!) and I'm hoping we can find some time to get away and do something fun then.

In other up coming events, I am super excited for the Keith Urban concert next week. Angie and I have been going to every concert Keith has held in Utah over the past 5 years or so, starting with his Tooele County Fair concert which was one of (and possibly even the very first) concert he's done here. It's became a tradition for us, and it's fun to get out together like the old days. My mom is also coming with us, as she did last year, and I'm excited for that. Girls night out!

Anyways, stay posted for some pics that hopefully will come soon. In regards to Purple Paisley, I'm currently working on a baby announcement, a couple of logos, and possibly a wedding invite so be sure to stay tuned for those as well!

Hope everyone is happy and well, and that life is treating you good!

Presenting : Purple Paisley Designs

I would like to introduce you to my new (additional) blog, and you can check it out here! As a way to share some of my design projects without all the hoop-lah of personal life scattered between it in one blog, I've created a new one. And I'm very excited for it. I had a blast designing the logo & am excited to use it as sort of my "online-portfolio" to share my projects and ideas. I'll be updating it with projects I'm doing in school, and side projects I'm doing on my own. I'm currently working on a baby announcement & hopefully a wedding announcement in the near future for someone. I'm hoping for this blog to open some doors into opportunities to design things for people in order to gain experience and projects to put in my portfolio. So check it out! Bookmark it! Spread the word! Share it with your friends! (Many of the things posted on Purple Paisley right now may look familiar as they've already been posted on this blog, but feel free to check them out anyways....as a refresher :D)

We're Alive...Just Partially Buried

Just wanted to write a quick post while I've got Brad's laptop for a minute to say we are still alive, as our desktop is not hooked up right now. We have been busy packing, moving and unpacking over the past few weeks that I haven't had time to post anything, but we are slowly digging ourselves out of this mess of boxes and settling in and hopefully I'll more time to post some stuff soon. I will post pics of our new place when I'm finally able to get some stuff on the walls...not a whole lot to look at right now, blank empty walls are so boring. I've been excited about this new place we've moved to as it has a dishwasher! woo hoo! That's been the highlight for me over the past couple of weeks, and the fact that it has a fireplace that will be so much fun in the winter/Christmas time, a tan accent wall (I love color, white walls are just so blah..) & lots of space above the kitchen cabinets to decorate on. Hmm....I must be a woman....I'm pretty sure that no man would ever have any details of that last sentence even cross his mind, let alone have it come out of his mouth. I'm not sure that Brad understands my excitement about all of these small details & hooplah, but if he knows whats good for him he'll just step back & let me enjoy them. :D Anyways, hope everyone is doing well & hopefully I'll be able to post some more sometime soon!
